Certification PEFC

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification - PEFC, is a nongovernmental nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management and certification by an external entity (third party). 

PEFC works throughout the entire chain of wood products supply, to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and cork forest products - timber are produced according to the best ethical, ecological and social standards. 

Aims to give consumers assurance that products derived from PEFC certified forest management which are consistently applied principles of sustainability based on three basic pillars: (1) Social (2) Environmental (3) Economic. 

Forest certification comprises two distinct levels in the forest with the verification of sustainable forest management and industry and trade of wood products, with chain of custody certification, ensuring the traceability of certified raw material from its source to the consumer end. 

Thanks to its eco-label - PEFC brand, customers and consumers are able to identify products from sustainably managed forests and to contribute, through the driving ability of the market to stimulate the potential for continuous improvement of forest resources.

Being the world's largest forest certification system, PEFC's continuing to be the certification system of choice for small private forest owners, with hundreds of thousands of forest owners certified family-oriented according to the mutual sustainability standards PEFC.
