The bamboo deck is made from high pressure compressed bamboo strips. These undergo a heat treatment process at 160ºC (Caramel) and 220ºC (Coffee), which modifies the sugar molecules that are naturally present in untreated bamboo. With this treatment, bamboo is no longer a source of food for fungi and microorganisms. In addition, this process increases density, making bamboo strips very hard. The stability of this material ensures excellent durability. Bamboo is suitable for outdoor applications, especially for decking.
