This is a floor consisting of three layers.

The visible layer consists of a lamella or wood veneer, usually with a high resistance varnish or oil finish.

The middle layer usually consists of lamella, plywood or HDF.

The bottom layer consists of a balancing wood veneer. When the core is in plywood, this layer may not exist.
