MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is an engineered wood product formed by bonding wood fibers with synthetic resins in a dry process with hot pressing. Presents a smooth, compact and uniform surface (more than chipboard), free of irregularities, which guarantees greater dimensional stability.

Used uncoated (raw) and with almost all kinds of coatings (melamine, wood veneer and laminates or sandwich-panel) or finishings (wood stains, varnishes and lacquers) possible. It is well suited for widespread use, especially in furniture and decoration.

We can distinguish several types of mdf panels coated with melamine paper:

Standard - engineered wood product formed by bonding wood fibers with synthetic resins in a dry process with hot pressing coated with melamine paper;

Moisture resistant - is a standard melamine MDF panel with improved moisture resistance for structural uses and use in humid environment resistance which is identified by the green staining throughout the thickness;

Fire resistant -  melamine MDF panel with low flamability (EuroClass B) and higher density formed by bonding wood fibers with synthetic resins and flame retardant products in a dry process with hot pressing, which is identified by the red staining throughout the thickness;
