Interior HPL (High Pressure Laminate) is a decorative compact phenolic laminate, manufactured in accordance with EN 438 and ISO 4586 standards.

This panel is made up of layers of cellulose paper impregnated with thermosetting resins, bonded together through a high-pressure and high-temperature process, resulting in a compact, strong and stable material. Its composition consists of approximately 70% paper, with the remaining 30% made up of formaldehyde resins for the core layers and melamine-formaldehyde resins for the surface layer. Through special production, HPL panels can be manufactured with no formaldehyde content.

Interior HPL is defined as a panel with a thickness ? 1.2 mm and may have one or two decorative faces. Commercially, it is also referred to as Compact Phenolic.

High mechanical strength, excellent moisture resistance and a wide range of decorative patterns, from solid colours to exclusive decors, make compact phenolic HPL a versatile and durable solution for numerous interior applications.

It is also available in a fire-retardant version, with a B-s2, d0 classification in accordance with EN 13501-1. In the standard version (thicknesses ? 6 mm), it presents a Class C reaction to fire.
